CARMEN CHUNG
Associate Solicitor, Baker Botts

    Carmen grew up in Sydney, Australia, where she studied International Relations and Law in collge and graduated with Honours. A qualified solicitor in both New South Wales and HK, she is currently an associate in dispute resolution practice at the international law firm Baker Botts. Carmen is also the co-founder of the blog Lifestyle Lookbook, which covers topics such as travel, F&B and product reviews, and she has written freelance articles for Sydney Morning Herald, South China Morning Post, the Hong Kong Express Uexplore Magazine etc. Being an animal lover, Carmen has undertaken pro bono legal work advocating for animal welfare in Hong Kong.

STUART PALM
Professional Hypnotist & Mentalist

    Stuart is a well known professional mentalist, hypnotist, and artist and has previously taught at CIS. He is an experienced performer and his shows are an exploration of the unconscious mind, specifically the mysteries of belief as well as the energy force that is often called Qi. His experiences throughout his life fueled his passion to uncovering all the powers and possibilities of the human brain. 

HERMAN CHAN HO-MAN
Founder & Executive Director, Eldpathy

     Herman is the co-founder and executive director of Eldpathy, an enterprise that promotes empathy towards the elderly. His passion in social entrepreneurship led him to work in a social enterprise business center and he joined the “Exchange for Social Entrepreneurs and Leaders” program at Stanford University in the summer of 2012. Following with the program initiative, Herman participated in an elderly simulation project in Taiwan and noticed its potential benefits to the society. Thus, he strived to introduce an analogous program to Hong Kong and co-founded Eldpathy.

JESSICA LAM
Managing Partner, Jou Sun

   Jessica is the Managing Partner of Jou Sun, an online grocery shopping platform launched in 2015, which helps customers purchase and deliver fresh, local and organic products from dozens of importers, organic farmers and retail vendors. Previously, Jessica worked as a business analyst at Gucci, hedge fund analyst and management consultant in Italy, Hong Kong and US respectively. She received her MBA from Columbia Business School and BA from Brown University. 

ROLAND YAU
Investment Director, CoCoon

   Roland Yau is the Investment Director of CoCoon, a leading start up incubator in Hong Kong. Previously, Roland worked in one of the top international law firms prior to joining CoCoon Ignite Ventures. As a lawyer, Roland focused on fundraising for large conglomerates and worked on the largest mergers and acquisitions in Hong Kong including Cheung Kong, Hutchison, HKT and HKBN. One of his key focuses at CoCoon Ignite Ventures is to oversee deal execution and growth opportunities for Hong Kong.
